財務發展組簡介 Division of University Development

財務規劃室於2008年在陳文村校長的規劃下成立，成立的宗旨為協助學校紓解財務壓力，對校友及企業界募款。首任主任由當時的校友會理事長許明德擔任，主要是借重他和校友以及企業界的豐沛人脈，有助於募款的進行。 　　

財務規劃室成立後，立即推動多功能體育館的募款。當時學校的體育設施在十多年前蓋的，那時是規劃六千位學生的容量，目前學生已超過1萬多人，早已不敷使用，蓋新的體育館刻不容緩，建館經費預估1億5仟萬元。 　　

陳力俊教授於2010年接任校長後，繼續推動並推出「百人會」。亦即百位校友，每人捐款一百萬，以一億元為目標。百人會經由陳校長登高一呼，校友們群起熱烈響應，到2012年4月，共有145位校友加入百人會，募款之金額超過1億7仟2佰萬，超過預定目標，募款圓滿達陣。因為建館經費全數來自校友的捐獻，因此命名為「校友體育館」，於2012年11月15日正式啟用。 

之後，又推動「逐夢獎學金」、「還願獎學金」、「旭日獎學金」的募款，並隨時視學校需要，推動其他大型募款計畫，如「君山音樂廳」、「成功湖整治」。

2023年8月1日財務規劃室更名為財務發展組，並改隸屬於「校友服務及資源發展處」。

The Financial Planning Office was established in 2008 under the planning of President Wen-Tsuen Chen. The primary purpose of the establishment is to relieve the financial stresses of NTHU by fundraising from alumni and business communities. The Alumni Association Chairman Ming-Der Hsu served as the first director of the Financial Planning Office for his abundant contacts to alumni and business communities, which helps the fundraising for NTHU.

After the establishment, the office promoted the fundraising for multifunctional stadium immediately. The sport facilities were built in 1990s for 6,000 students back then. As for 2008, there were more than 10,000 students in NTHU, making the facilities insufficient for all students. Therefore, a new stadium was critically needed and was estimated to cost 150 million New Taiwan Dollars.

Professor Lih-Juann Chen took over as Principal of NTHU in 2010 and promoted the Tsing Hua Club One Hundred, meaing the club were planning to recruit 100 alumni and collect 1 million New Taiwan Dollars per person, eventually reaching the target of 100 million New Taiwan Dollars in total. The club gained enthusiastic responses from the alumni after the recruitment started by President Chen. As of April 2012, there were 145 alumni joined in Tsing Hua Club One Hundred, making the collected amount of money reached 172 million New Taiwan Dollars, much larger than the original target. The new stadium, activated in 15th Nov. 2012, was therefore named "Alumni Stadium" to memorize their contribution in the fundraising.

Later on, the office pushed multiple fundraising plans forward, including "Dream Chasing Scholarship", "Devotion Scholarship", and "Rising Sun Scholarship". Additionally, the office also gave impetus to several large fundraising plans like "Chun-Shan Concert Hall Building", "The Remediation of Lake Success", and so on.

The office was later renamed as "Division of University Development" and served as the affiliated division of "Office of Alumni Service and Resources Development" on Aug. 1st, 2023.
